Refined and smooth like a fine Sedan,however spacius and very friendly in the cargo space area like a SUV, the 2009 Toyota Venza is the absolute best of both worlds.It is obviuos from your first test drive the design engineers were up all night figuring this one out.The Venza is an absolute one of a kind vehicle that is loaded with all new systems you need to be familiar with so you can fix it right the first time.This bad boy comes standard with the 1ARFE 4 cylinder engine that produces a decent 182 horsepower and for you power buffs the available 6 cylinder tops out at a whopping 268 horsepower at 6200 rpm.The transmission is a 6 speed automatic.
For you tech guys that read my blog you will like to know that the ECM on the Venza permanently stores the diagnostic trouble codes so you can check it even if the check engine light has gone out or have your Toyota service department do the same thing.There are two methods for clearing the the permanent DTC,these however haved to be done by a qualified Toyota service department who uses the all new Toyota techstream computer system.The Venza is the first Toyota vehicle to use the the all new smart key system.Unlike previous systems the smart entry and start system on the Venza does not include an ID code box, the certification ECU assumes the function of the ID code box. New lock sensors are used on the exterior door handles.These sensors are located on the top and bottom on the handle.To operate the lock function simply touch the appropriate area of the handle while the key is within range....cool huh.The unfortunate part of this is the high priced smart entry key which can only be bought where you get your Genuine Toyota Parts .This car should be a hit for young and old and as always carrys Toyota value .
